Milestones of Real Architecture

Dimension stones have also left deep imprints on the architectural heritage of the country. Innumerable temples, forts and palaces of Ancient Indian Civilization have been carved out of locally available stones. The Ranakpur Temple at Rajasthan stands testimony to the age-defying beauty of Indian marble.
The beauty of Indian ancient art shows itself in numbers of places in India. Today i have posted an introduction of glorious and an unique stone carving on marble at Ranakpur the world famous Jain temple. It is as an example of wonderful heritage art created by thousands of laborious craftsmen. The dating of this temple is controversial but it is largely considered to be anywhere between the late 14th to mid-15th centuries.
Light colored marble has been used for the construction of this grand temple which occupies an area of approximately 60 x 62 meters. There is one beautiful carving made out of a single marble rock where there 108 heads of snakes and numerous tails.
